The 50 States Reading Challenge 2011 Sign Up

January 2011 - December 2011

Are you ready to take the challenge!?!

The goal of this challenge is to read books that are set in each of the fifty states. Your books can be of any genre and any format (ie. paperback, ebook, audiobook, etc.). No short stories. Re-reads and crossovers from other reading challenges are fine. (Re-read reviews must be written within the year 2011; you can not use old reviews.)

You can list your books in advance or list them as you read them. The idea of this challenge came from a Goodreads group.

**Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate.
**Non-Bloggers: Sign up in the comments section. Post your reviews with other book sites (ie. Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Goodreads, Shelfari, etc.) and post the link in the comments section of the 50 States Reading Challenge. (will post January 1).

When you sign up on Mr. Linky, put the direct link to your blog post about this challenge. Include a link to this post, so that your followers can sign up too! You can either list your books on your challenge post, sidebar, or a page dedicated to your challenges.

Feel free to sign the Mister Linky with your name and blog name. (ie. Tasha (Book Obsessed)) or just your blog name (ie. Book Obsessed) You are welcome to sign up now, but please check back on January 1, 2011 for the 50 States Reading Challenge Review Link! (You will be able to link your review of the book for others to read and drive traffic to your blog.)

There will be prizes each quarter. The winners of the prizes will be chosen at random from the linky of posted reviews. Currently the prizes are books with state names in the titles, but that is always subject to change.

I've always wanted to take a tour of our great country... this would be a fun way to do it! ^_^

A technical question...do we need to pick all books ahead of time, or simply add to the list as we find/read something that fits the bill?

What a fantastic idea for a challenge. I'm going to hold off on signing up for just a bit, but I might be back.

Simply add them as you go. Or if you already know which books you'd like to read, you can add them now. Whichever you prefer.

Sorry I put my e-mail in instead of my name on the entry and I signed up twice. Can you delete my first one. Great challenge, thanks.

I tried putting the flag button on one of my blogs and it wasn't working for some reason. It comes up and says pic has been deleted or moved. I just used the pic and linked it to this page of your blog. Hope that is ok. Thanks.

Wow, you guys are ambitious! How is everyone finding their books? I'm envisioning lots of old-school card catalog searches, but I'm sure that's probably not what's happening! :)

This is one of the more memorable posts I have read on this topic - in large part due to the writing style displayed here. Inasmuch as I appreciate reading informative posts, I appreciate - even more - content that is delivered in an entertaining and captivating style ... which this is! Cell Phone Lookup
